Adanaxis - a space shooter in four dimensions

Is it possible to play a 4D first person shooter? Adanaxis may answer that question. We're talking four dimensions of space here, so that's four not including time. Try the movie or demo below to see it in action.

There's also a bit of developer documentation describing how it all works. For feedback about Mushware software, this site, or anything else please use the Feedback Forum, or send a message to me, the site admin.

Tesseract Trainer icon Adanaxis is a space shooter like no other. It takes place in a world entirely different to everyday experience. As well as left/right, up/down and forward/back, there's another direction in space - the fourth dimension. Objects phase in and out as your craft rotates into this hidden dimension. The game uses an all-new 4D texturing method to display the fluid rotations and motion that are possible in four dimensions. All ten degrees of freedom are available for mouse and joystick control, to create an environment different to any other game. A simple scanner system and tutorial make the game easy to pick up.

For your online security Mushware uses PayPal to process payments, so only PayPal will see your payment details. Software can be downloaded and installed immediately after purchase.

Windows installer warning
If you have installed Tesseract Trainer 0.1.1 or the Adanaxis Control Demo 0.0.1 on Windows and changed the Destination Folder when doing so, please be careful before uninstalling. The uninstaller will delete everything in the Destination Folder, which is only safe if the folder wasn't changed during installation. Currently downloadable software is not affected by this problem.

The player had just taken out a beam unit, generating a large explosion and flare. The contrast of this image has been enhanced to reveal more detail.
