Can't start on Ubuntu 7.10

Hello!

I was browsing the list of commercial games on linuxgamingworld.com, and came across this one. I want to try the demo out, but for some reason I can't start it! I installed the generic 32bit .deb. What could be worng?

It looks like the game can't find a video mode with the 3D support it's looking for. You could try:

adanaxisdemo --recover

to see if it'll run in windowed mode, or

export DISPLAY=:0.1
adanaxisdemo

if you're running a 3D desktop - try 1.0 too.

Actually I installed the Debian 4.0 32 bit version, and the game started okay!

Do you think you could include Ubuntu then in the other instructions so it'll be clear? :)

One small suggestion - the game started windowed for me, and it was really hard to play because the mouse would move outside of the screen.

However, when I switched to fullscreen, it was a wow, this is amazing moment.

But do you think you can do something about the mouse + windowed?

Mouse and windowed is a bit tricky because the underlying library (libSDL) let you either read the mouse position and hide the mouse pointer (and make your desktop unusable), or leave the pointer visible but get partial mouse positions. Since windowed is usually used for recovery I chose the latter. But yes, it sounds like I at least need a message saying 'switch to fullscreen'
