If you have a Linux distribution and none of the binary packages listed here are suitable, please post the name, version and architecture of your distribution in this thread.

openSUSE 10.3, Beta 1

I'm using the latest NVIDIA driver on x86_64, with two
1680x1050 panels in TwinView mode side-by-side, which
gives me these possible resolutions:

$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 1600 x 600, current 3360 x 1050, maximum 3360 x 1050
default connected 3360x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm
3360x1050 50.0*
2560x1024 51.0
2560x960 52.0
2304x864 53.0
2048x768 54.0
1600x600 55.0

$ adanaxisdemo
20070711T180016Z: Package adanaxisdemo-x11-1.1.2 error log
20070711T180016Z: Warning: SDL video mode failed - trying without FSAA
20070711T180016Z: Warning: SDL video mode failed again - trying for ANYFORMAT mode
Exception during start sequence: Could not select a compatible display mode

I guess I could possibly hack such mode in if I had the source for the GPL-only package

Adanaxis won't work well with two monitors configured as a single display, as the place where all of the action is will lie on the join between the two monitors. When the two monitors are configured as two displays it should be fine, as it'll just use one.

Nevertheless you should be able to start the game using

adanaxisdemo --recover

which will start in windowed mode, and you should then be able to choose a fullscreen mode from the Options menu. I hope this works for you Wink

The player had just taken out a beam unit, generating a large explosion and flare. The contrast of this image has been enhanced to reveal more detail.
