The Adanaxis Rendering Demo is now available in the download area
. This version includes solid 4D rendering using procedural noise textures. Three-dot markers make it easier to find things to shoot at. There's a menu system, and controls can be configured from a combination of keyboard, mouse and joystick input. This demo contains a simple intro and two other levels.
This release also includes the beginnings of a ruby-based level scripting system. So far scripts can create 4D meshes using extrusion and define parameters for procedural textures.
The graphical technique involves a lot of overlaid texture rendering, so a 3D graphics card is essential. A joystick with a twist axis is also useful.
