X11 download

The best way to get the full version is to install or build the adanaxisgpl package for your distro and add the data files to it.
wget http://www.mushware.com/files/adanaxis-mush-1.1.0.tar.gz
# The tar command unpacks to a directory named mush
tar xvzf adanaxis-mush-1.1.0.tar.gz
# cp puts the mush directory in the adanaxisgpl directory, which should already have contents named waves, spaces, pixels, etc.
sudo cp -pR mush /usr/share/games/adanaxisgpl
For other distros, your adanaxisgpl directory might be somewhere else, like /usr/share/adanaxisgpl, but the mush directory still needs to go in it wherever it is. These files are distributed under license from third parties and under those licenses can only be used with Adanaxis. The rest of the information on this page is out of date.

Obsolete content follows

Adanaxis is available as a number of binary packages. The generic packages are intended to run on most distributions. Choose RPM if you have an RPM-based distribution (ArkLinux, Fedora, Mandriva, Red Hat, SUSE, Yellow Dog) and dpkg if you have a dpkg-based system (Debian, Knoppix, Linspire, Ubuntu, Xandros). Chose 32 bit unless you have a 64 bit processor and have installed a 64 bit distribution.

Note: This package has been known to crash X-windows with some graphics drivers. Please save any open work before running.

adanaxisdemo_1.1.4-1generic_i386.debdpkg-based 32 bit43.4 MB2007-07-03

If you have a Mandriva 2007.0 or Debian 4.0 distribution you can also use one of these more specific packages. Ubuntu users should install the Debian package.

If you can't find a package here that works on your system please post details of your distribution to this thread. For support and to report bugs, please post here.

If you'd like to build from source, GPL releases will be along towards the end of July 2007. These will contain source code but not the commercially-sourced graphics and audio (because of the distribution terms of that content).
